The new Daiwa 23 Airity is the lightest Daiwa spinning reel ever: The new Airity features simply exceptional performance and construction quality. The body is of the monocoque type (MQ) entirely built in Magnesium to offer unparalleled parameters of structural rigidity and lightness. The 23 Airity was developed according to the new Airdrive Design construction concept for the construction of rotor, coil and bow, borrowed from the brand new top of the range Exist. The rotor in particular, built in Zaion, is designed to reduce weight and rotational inertia to a minimum, while maintaining even greater robustness than "standard" Air Rotors. The ATD-L clutch is also of the latest generation and has sensitivity and precision performance never seen before: it reacts sweetly and softly to the initial stress, then quickly but superprogressively sets to the set brake. A fundamental characteristic especially for those techniques that require the use of thin and very thin lines, such as trout area or light spinning.
