An ultra-stiff CI4+ body reduces flex and provides a lightweight yet solid foundation for improved cold-forged HAGANE gear mesh for long-lasting smoothness and durability. The SpeedMaster XSD 14000 incorporates RigidCast technology to withstand the impact of extreme casting force by minimizing spool oscillation motion and main shaft and body flex during the initial moments of casting. The result: increased casting distance and accuracy. To create a quieter and smoother winding experience, Shimano has incorporated SilentDrive technology into the SpeedMaster XSD 14000 to remove unnecessary noise and vibration.
