Shimano Technium Premium Box is a very high quality monofilament that combines high knot strength and excellent abrasion resistance. The advanced triple layer construction reduces linear stretch to just 12%, maintaining the softness needed for trouble-free fishing and improved bait presentation. If you are a serious angler, you will already know that mono Technium has a fantastic reputation in the world of carp fishing and has been one of the leading hi-tech products for several years. Thanks to its reduced elongation and high strength/diameter ratio, the Technium is the perfect compromise between braid and "normal" mono lines. For carp anglers using light indicators or slack lines, its sensitivity, combined with its sinking properties, is a big plus, as is the limited stretch which offers a better fighting experience than zero stretch braided lines . Constructed with three layers, the hyper-durable center core has low-stretch properties that give the Technium a 50% reduction in stretch compared to a standard mono line. This greatly increases bite registration when carp or feeder fishing, whilst maintaining enough elasticity to allow you to fight fish with peace of mind. The second layer of the structure gives the line its softness, which is noticeable as soon as you handle it. This increases casting performance and contributes to the excellent knot strength of the Technium. The final outer layer not only protects the line from UV rays, but also creates a silky smooth surface that reduces friction during casting and increases abrasion resistance.
