The new Okuma Makaira SEA Gold Dual Drag Cam Advantage takes big-game reel performance to the next level, combining maximum drag power, precise control and exceptional versatility across demanding fishing applications.

The Dual Drag Cam Advantage system features two interchangeable cam profiles. The standard drag cam is engineered for maximum power, delivering high drag output and reliable stopping power when targeting hard-fighting species such as tuna and bottom-dwelling game fish. The TTC (Traditional Troll Cam) provides a more progressive and refined drag curve, making it ideal for trolling, lighter monofilament and circle-hook applications where precise drag control is critical.

The DFD (Dual Force Drag) system delivers high drag pressure and efficient heat dissipation while reducing lateral load on the spool shaft, resulting in a smoother and lighter retrieve under heavy load.

A custom-designed thrust bearing further reduces lateral load during extreme fights. This translates into smoother, easier cranking and extended bearing service life when the reel is operating under maximum pressure.

The 17-4 stainless steel helical-cut gears maintain more teeth in constant engagement, distributing load more efficiently across the gear train. The result is smoother, stronger and more reliable power transmission under heavy loads.

With 2.5× increased freespool, the reel allows baits to move more naturally while also supporting longer casts and improved line release.
