SHIMANO BASSTERRA A LRF AJI 66SUL

The Shimano Bassterra A LRF AJI is a specialist rod developed for AJI (Horse Mackerel Game) and refined Light Rock Fishing techniques. Designed for micro jig heads, soft baits and small artificial lures, it provides an exceptional level of sensitivity and control, allowing anglers to precisely work lightweight lures throughout the water column.

At its core is a highly responsive Full Carbon blank, engineered to transmit lure movement and subtle fish contacts directly to the angler. Diaflash construction further enhances the blank’s structural rigidity and strength, while improving sensitivity and energy transfer during casting.

The slim, highly sensitive tip is designed to detect even the lightest bites, a crucial advantage when targeting fish that often approach or strike the lure with minimal pressure. Its fast response also allows anglers to impart precise twitches and subtle movements to micro soft baits while maintaining constant contact with the lure.

The Bassterra A LRF AJI is particularly suited to targeting horse mackerel, seabream and other small coastal predators, especially when fish are suspended in mid-water. The responsive blank helps anglers read lure movement and detect delicate takes, while the lower section provides enough power for confident hook sets and effective fish control.

The combination of a fast action, high sensitivity and responsive blank makes the rod extremely effective with light tackle and fine-diameter lines. Fuji KL stainless-steel guides provide smooth line flow and are particularly well suited to both thin braided lines and monofilament.

The Shimano Bassterra A LRF AJI is a specialist choice for anglers who demand maximum control from light tackle, where precise lure manipulation, sensitivity and fast response are essential to converting the lightest takes into exciting fights.
