SHIMANO CURADO DC A M151

The new Shimano Curado DC A 151 takes baitcasting performance to the next level, combining the legendary strength of the Curado platform with Shimano’s advanced digital casting-control technology. At its core is the i-DC4 Digital Control microcomputer, engineered to monitor and automatically regulate spool speed throughout the cast for greater control, accuracy and consistent performance.

The i-DC4 system features four selectable settings, easily adjusted using the external control: Mode 1 is designed for maximum casting distance, Mode 2 is optimized for braided line, Mode 3 for fluorocarbon and stiffer lines, while Mode 4 provides maximum control for precision techniques such as skipping. This makes the Curado DC highly versatile, allowing anglers to quickly adapt the reel to different line types, lure weights and changing fishing conditions.

The rigid aluminium HAGANE Body provides exceptional structural strength while maintaining a compact, lightweight and ergonomic profile. Its palm-friendly design delivers a secure and comfortable grip, even during long fishing sessions.

Inside, MicroModule Gearing and X-SHIP work together to deliver smooth, powerful and efficient retrieve performance, maintaining Shimano’s renowned mechanical reliability even under heavy loads.

The MGL III spool, combined with S3D and Silent Tune technologies, helps minimize vibration and improve spool rotation efficiency. Working together with the i-DC4 system, this technology helps maximize casting performance, promoting longer, more controlled casts while reducing the risk of backlash.

When it is time to put pressure on a fish, the Cross Carbon Drag provides smooth and consistent drag performance, giving anglers the control required to handle aggressive runs, sudden acceleration and powerful fish.

Available in the versatile 150 size and with three gear ratios — MG, HG and XG — the Curado DC A 151 can be configured to match different techniques, lure applications and fishing styles.
