SHIMANO TYRNOS A TROLLING

Designed to target the ocean’s most powerful predators, the Shimano Tyrnos A Trolling is an offshore trolling rod engineered to handle line classes from 50 lb to 130 lb and withstand the demands of the toughest big-game battles. Its high-performance carbon construction and proven heavy-duty components deliver outstanding lifting power, stability and reliability in extreme offshore conditions.

The Full Carbon blank combines HPC (High Pressure Carbon) and Biofibre technologies to enhance structural strength and resistance to deformation under heavy loads. Integrated Twist Control technology helps minimise blank rotation during intense fights, promoting a more stable rod curve and efficient power transmission. The dedicated trolling action absorbs sudden surges while maintaining consistent pressure on the fish, helping anglers stay in control throughout powerful runs and demanding recovery stages.

To handle high drag settings and heavy-diameter lines, the Tyrnos A Trolling features Seaguide stainless steel roller guides, designed to promote smooth line movement while helping reduce friction, heat build-up and line wear during prolonged fights. The Pac Bay aluminium reel seat provides a secure, dependable connection with large offshore reels, even when fishing with high drag pressure.

The contoured EVA foregrip delivers a comfortable, non-slip hold, helping anglers maintain control with wet hands and during close-quarter battles. An aluminium butt, available in straight and curved configurations, allows the setup to be tailored to individual fighting preferences, whether fishing from a fighting chair or using stand-up techniques.

Built for large tuna, swordfish and marlin, the Shimano Tyrnos A Trolling combines structural power, heavy-duty components and dependable load control in a purpose-built rod for serious offshore trolling and pelagic big-game fishing.
