monofilaments and braided lines
Colmic Grip Series Bobbin Knotter is a precision tool designed to master the most critical connection in modern fishing: the joint between braided lines (PE) and monofilament (Fluorocarbon or Nylon). This tool allows you to create high-strength knots like the FG Knot, PR Knot, or Bimini Twist, ensuring a profile so slim it glides through rod guides with zero friction, eliminating the risk of sudden snaps during casting or fighting.
The technical core of this knotter lies in its adjustable tension system, which allows for extreme accuracy in calibrating the winding force, making the knots uniform and compact. The delivery tube features an ultra-smooth ceramic internal lining: this crucial detail negates thermal and mechanical friction, protecting the PE fibers from micro-damage that could compromise their breaking strain. Rugged, ergonomic, and easy to use thanks to the included manual, it is the standard for spinning, casting, and vertical techniques.
Technical Features & Functionalities
Adjustable Tension System: Modulates bobbin resistance for millimetric thread overlapping.
Anti-Friction Ceramic Channel: Protects the braid from wear and overheating during the high-speed knotting phase.
High-Strength Knots: Perfect for FG Knot, PR Knot, Improved FG, and precision closures on all leader diameters.
Ultra-Slim Profile: Ensures connections that won't catch on even the smallest rod guides (Micro-Guides).
Grip Series Build: Durable materials and ergonomic design for a secure hold during rigging.
Ready-to-Use Kit: Comes in a single blister pack with a detailed instruction manual for quick learning.
Recommended For
Spinning Anglers (Saltwater & Freshwater): For invisible joints between PE and Fluorocarbon leaders that don't sacrifice casting distance.
Vertical and Jigging Specialists: Where knot strength under extreme stress is the only thing standing between the angler and a trophy fish.
Surfcasting Anglers: To connect shock leaders to braided mainlines with total confidence.
Precision Seekers: For those looking to eliminate human error and achieve consistent results, knot after knot.
The Colmic Volt Long Cast is a next-generation, high-performance monofilament designed specifically for long-distance casting. It features a triple treatment with synthetic resins combined with fixed microfibres, and an outer fluorocarbon coating that ensures exceptional smoothness through the rod guides and outstanding durability over time.
Key technical features include:
Zero memory, which prevents line coiling and ensures perfect line lay.
High abrasion resistance, making it ideal for rough or mixed bottoms.
Low water absorption, keeping performance consistent even after long sessions.
Superior knot strength, offering maximum reliability during fights.
Breaking strength is measured in two different ways:
Laboratory testing using precision equipment.
Real-world fishing tests using dedicated gear to reflect practical conditions.
C3 is the acronym that identifies our new C3 Maxx fluorcarbon, innovative for several reasons. Resistance to UV rays 70% higher than a traditional nylon, therefore great resistance to high temperatures and consequently a longer life. Resistance to chemical agents 50% higher than nylon, therefore particularly suitable for sea fishing (salt air). Zero water absorption, which translated simply means maintaining the original characteristics of the product. A normal nylon can lose up to 6% in mechanical resistance during an average fishing session: the C3 Maxx fluorocarbon remains unchanged, both in terms of grip and physical characteristics. Lower specific weight than other fluorcarbons. Greater softness and an even more natural bait presentation.
Invisible in water.
Exceptional breaking load.
Great knot strength.
Excellent softness.
Abrasion resistance beyond normal.
Space-saving reel format.
