The new Daiwa 23 Airity ST-SF is a special version of the Airity, redesigned in an ultra-specialist way for SuperFinesse techniques, such as area trout and aging game. A reel that makes absolute lightness, extreme sensitivity and smoothness its workhorses. The magnesium body is super compact, giving this reel record-breaking lightness: the scales stop at just 130 grams. To make the reel even more fluid and sensitive than the standard Airity, the bearing responsible for rotating the handle has been replaced with an oil one. To have an even smoother and "free" rotation, the magnetized oil protecting the pinion has been eliminated. The clutch is a very sensitive ATD-L Super Finesse with 3kg of max drag, calibrated to offer progressiveness and millimetric precision.

The new Daiwa 23 Airity is the lightest Daiwa spinning reel ever: The new Airity features simply exceptional performance and construction quality. The body is of the monocoque type (MQ) entirely built in Magnesium to offer unparalleled parameters of structural rigidity and lightness. The 23 Airity was developed according to the new Airdrive Design construction concept for the construction of rotor, coil and bow, borrowed from the brand new top of the range Exist. The rotor in particular, built in Zaion, is designed to reduce weight and rotational inertia to a minimum, while maintaining even greater robustness than "standard" Air Rotors. The ATD-L clutch is also of the latest generation and has sensitivity and precision performance never seen before: it reacts sweetly and softly to the initial stress, then quickly but superprogressively sets to the set brake. Daiwa Emeraldas Air LT is the first reel of the Emeraldas family to marry Monocoque technology. The body built in ZAION makes it not only incredibly light but also extremely stiff. The choice of the ZAION also for the realization of the rotor allows to considerably reduce the weight of the same, generating less inertia and therefore giving greater fluidity of rotation compared to the previous models. The 2500 model, with single 50 mm throttle. it is the lightest in the history of Eging; in fact, it weighs only 160g. It is also equipped with a Finesse Custom clutch with a maximum drag of 5Kg. With 22 EXIST LT Daiwa begins a new chapter. To begin the creation of AIRDRIVE DESIGN, DAIWA first separated the spinning reel into two key components. The first was the "rear drive" which consisted of the body and key internal components such as the drive gear. By introducing the MQ technology along with the robust digigear which is now becoming the standard of DAIWA reels, it has given the rear unit high strength and durability. Following the development of the rear unit, DAIWA has decided to redevelop the key components that make up what is called the "front unit". By retraining the rotor, spool and bracket assembly, DAIWA was able to reduce the weight of the front unit in 2022. Years of work, AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the result of this new thinking. DAIWA has developed an innovative masterpiece that allows anglers to be in total control. The low weight, smooth rotation and high response allow the reel to spin freely. All these elements combined come together to create AIRDRIVE DESIGN. The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR and the new AIRDRIVE BAIL both combine to reduce weight at the top of the reel. The low weight creates a smooth and effortless rotation, with quick start and low inertia. Unnecessary weight and thickness have been eliminated to innovate the new AIRDRIVE SPOOL, which perfectly matches the AIRDRIVE ROTOR and AIRDRIVE BAIL to complement the redesigned front unit.
