In volo, durante il lancio, si presenta piacevolmente stabile e composto, riuscendo a bucare il vento e a raggiungere distanze ragguardevoli, spesso proibitive per un artificiale da 13 cm. Durante l’azione di pesca, si riescono a percepire in canna le vibrazioni prodotte da un nuoto caratteristico, energico e dinamico ma al tempo stesso piacevolmente fluido.
