The casting power of the Shimano Beastmaster Suf J comes from the fast action Full Carbon blank design which transfers power through the rod to generate maximum casting speed with fast tip recovery. The tubular tip versions are more suitable for the demanding conditions, wind and waves typical of the Atlantic Ocean and have a length of 4.25 m and a casting weight of 225 g (8 oz). The solid tips of the Hybrid models are a big plus in the lighter Mediterranean conditions and are also 4.25m long, but with a casting weight of 200g (7oz). All models feature Shimano DPS reel seat and butt grip which guarantees maximum grip pressure even in wet conditions. All models are 3-piece for convenient carrying.

The Beastmaster XB is the renewed version of the Beastmaster XTA/XSA big pit reel. It’s the lowest price point Shimano Big Pit reel: the RRP will be €76,00. For this money, the angler will have an excellent working reel which is strong and durable. The 10000 size aluminum spool holds 0.35 mm -400m line, which is more than enough for both carp anglers who want to fish far out and surf anglers who want to make long casts. The instant drag is smooth and reliable. It has 1+1 A-RB bearings, the gear ratio is 4,6:1 and the line retrieve is 100 cm per reel handle turn (360 degrees). The reel is matt black painted with grey details: this color is chosen so the reel matches (color wise) with almost every rod in the market and this black colour is appreciated by carp anglers as well.
