The Fira was designed with special attention paid to continuity of action and power progression within the sections just below the tip (a weak point of almost all short-tip rods), achieving results never before obtained, with performance similar to those of traditional long-tip telescopic surf rods. As a result, this rod will ensure a smooth and progressive response in any situation and the gradual compression of the sections will produce a cushioning effect on the line. Constructed from HR-HM carbon with satin finish, it features a woven carbon butt section for better protection of underlying fibres from shocks and scratches. It is built with a Fuji reel seat and has no running guides on the tip. The handle is coated with a high-grip finish to ensure a firm hold in any situation. Optimum casting weight is between 125 and 145g, but heavier weights can be cast with ease.
